Ombudsman Office representatives conducted joint monitoring to military units

According to the agreed schedule between the Commissioner’s Office and Ministry of Defence as well as its Internal Troops Command and Civil Defence Troops Command of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, monitoring to military units of the relevant facilities are being continued on a regular basis.

Head of the Unit of the Ombudsman Office on Protection of the rights of military servants, Fezail Hasanov and senior adviser of that Unit, Murad Babayev conducted scheduled visit to military unit “X” of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Defence in Hajigabul city and the unit “X” of the Civil Defence Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Garadag city.

The visits to those units aimed at to get familiarize with the living conditions and treatment of military servants as well as evaluate the state of ensuring of their rights.

Ombudsman’s representatives monitored all facilities of military units and highly evaluated the condition, treatment and nutritional and healthcare quality.

Meantime, the Ombudsman’s representatives run comprehensive discussion with the military administration and civil servants about human rights, existed military legislation and military regulations and also legally consult about Ombudsman’s responsibilities and their rights.  

As a result of the visit the administration of the unit has been given relevant recommendations to improve the current work.
