Representatives of the Ombudsman Office conducted monitoring in military units

Recently, Ombudsman’s staff members, F. Hasanov, V. Haydarov and Murad Babayev made visits to the military unit No. “N” Internal Troops under the Ministry of Internal affairs and of Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The aim of the monitoring was to get acquainted with living conditions of military servants, to monitor treatment of them and protection of their human rights in those facilities.

All corps of those facilities including barracks, medical units, canteens, food storages, etc. were monitored. The conditions created for military servants, treatment and the quality of food in the visited facilities were appreciated.

During the meeting Staff members gave broad information about human rights, including the rights of military servants, the Commissioner’s activities in this field, current national military legislation and military regulations and answered to numerous their questions.

Relevant recommendations were given to the headquarters of military units.
