Event dedicated to the Day of Youth was held in Leadership school

Event dedicated to 2 February - the Day of Youth was held in Leadership school at Azerbaijan Child and Youth peace Network.  Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova, deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, representatives of the Ombudsman Office, members of Leadership school, parents and teachers participated at the event.

The Commissioner spoke about her activity for protection of the rights of children and the youth, as well as project of hierarchic education of child rights implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

She added that Azerbaijan Child and Youth Peace Network-the Commissioner’s resource center for child rights is functioning regularly and effectively for 15 years. More than 1500 children and the youth have graduated from the school over the past period and this year about 100 children from different secondary schools of Baku joined the school.

Intigam Babayev Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports informed participants about state youth policy.

Later on perspectives of future cooperation between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the School was discussed.
