NPG conducted visit to child homes

The members of Ombudsman’s National Preventive Group conducted visit to Child Homes No. 2 and 3 without prior notice.

The aim of the visit was to investigate living conditions of children, treatment and the state of ensuring child rights.

All corpses of both facilities, including bedforms, classrooms, medical unit, gym, labour room, canteen and kitchen were monitored.

In order to investigate treatment issues, children as well as administration of facilities, teachers and medical staff were interviewed and the situation was learned.

Living conditions and treatment were found satisfactory.

Later on, NPG members had legal awareness talks with children, administration of facilities in accordance with national legislation and international standards gave recommendations on increasing attention to ensuring and protection of child rights and improvement of the work and documentation in this regard.
