On the Day of State Flag Elmira Suleymanova, the Commissioner for Human Rights visited Jojug Marjanli village of Jebrail rayon and met with people.
Firstly, the Commissioner together with heads of Fuzuli and Jabrayil rayons Executive Powers visited April Martyrs’ Memorial. There she met with soldiers and officers serving in frontline, congratulated them on the occasion of State Flag Day. The Commissioner also met with warriors who demonstrated courage in battles for liberation of Leletepe height and surrounding areas and who were awarded with orders and medals.
In Jojug Marjanli the Commissioner visited village secondary school met with teachers, students and parents.
She spoke about the history of the Azerbaijani flag. Moreover, she said recovery from major ruins, rapid construction and landscaping work, infrastructure development, improving the living conditions of the local population within a short time in Jojug Marjanli is the indicator of unity of the country President and the people.
She gave information about child rights, and the project of hierarchic education of child rights at secondary schools innitiated by the Commissioner; numerous books, educational materials and posters prepared and published by the Ombudsman Office were presented to the school.
The Commissioner awarded the school director with Certificate and medal of Ombudsman for ensuring child rights and contributing to their development.
The Commissioner was also at the mosque built in Jojug Marjanli which is similar to Shusha mosque-one of the pearls of Azerbaijani culture.
Later on, E Suleymanova visited the family of Ogtay Haziyev who was rewarded high Order by the country President for demonstrating patriotism and heroism by living in Jojug Marjanli since 1994, met with family members, expressed her best wishes to them.
