Next training was held on Juvenile Justice

It is three years that awareness raising trainings on Juvenile Justice are being conducted together with UNICEF, Academy of Justice and Police Academy.

Next training was held for the representatives of Prosecutor’s Offices, Police, Justice and Local Executive Powers of Khazar, Surakhani and Pirallahi districts.

Rashid Rumzadeh, Head of Ombudsman’s National Preventive Group participated in training as an expert, delivered lectures on national legislation, international standards and practice.

He informed participants about the work of the Commissioner as an NPM, her initiatives for improving national legislation and practice in this regard which is aimed at supporting legal reforms in the country.

Discussions were held on raising the awareness of staff of police, prosecutor’s offices, judicial and other responsible bodies for ensuring fair decisions; need for improvement of work with juveniles who are in conflict with law; their social adaptation.
