The representative of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Office participated in a Korean scholarship program on Development of Human Rights Policy

From 22 June to 13 July, 2017 scholarship program on Development of Human Rights Policy was conducted by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korean National Human Rights Commission.

Elman Imamverdiyev, the representative of Ombudsman’s Sheki Regional Center attended the program.

In an acquaintance meeting with Program participants, E. Imamverdiyev gave information about the reforms carried out for human rights protection in the country, and activity of the Ombudsman Office in this regard.

During the program participants visited “Saram” Human Rights Fund, several human rights centers, Korea University, Korean National Police Agency, etc.

E. Imamverdiyev also was at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Korea.

The program was very important from the perspective of cooperation with National Human Rights Institutions, discussions and exchange of experience regarding human rights protection.

Participants who successfully finished the program were awarded Diplomas.
