Zaur Valimammadli, Head of International Relations Department of the Ombudsman Office attending the 35th session of UN Human Rights Council in Geneva presented the Statement of Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova.
He informed participants about the work of the Azerbaijani Commissioner in ensuring the right to education without any discrimination and legal education on human rights that was highlighted in the Statement. Moreover, drawing the attention to hierarchic education of child rights at secondary schools as the best practice in the field of human rights education, he noted that the aim of the project is to teach children their rights and to train them as trainers.
It should be noted that during her term of Office the Commissioner presented more than 20 oral and written Statements to Human Rights Council and they were placed on its website.
