Rights of Children with Down syndrome is at the Commissioner’s focus

The Commissioner of Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova pays close attention to protection of rights of persons with disabilities, particularly of children with Down Syndrome along with other rights, regularly meets with them, assists in solution of their problems. Recently she was presented a Letter of Appreciation by For the Sake of Care - Healthy Generation Public Union.

The representative of the Ombudsman Office Lamiya Zeynalova attended an event dedicated to June 1-International Children’s Day organized by this Public Union and New Azerbaijan Party Nizami District Branch.

In her speech she focused on the work carried out in the country for protection of the rights and rehabilitation of children with Down syndrome, expressed the importance of continuing actions in this regard.
