Events are being held within the framework of Human Rights Month-long Campaign

Within the framework of Human Rights Month-long Campaign, Ombudsman’s Sheki Regional Center held events at secondary schools No 4 in Qakh and in No 3 in Zagatala rayons for students, teachers and representatives of education departments.

In his speech head of the Regional Center Parviz Mammadov noted the Commissioner pays close attention to protection of child rights along with other rights. He informed the participants about the work carried out by the Commissioner for protection of child rights, as well as broad awareness raising events held in this regard.

Jalilabad Regional Center held an event under the motto “Right to Heath” and “ For the Name of Future without Drugs”. The event was attended by representatives of local state bodies and the youth. Head of the Regional Center Ziya Ismayilov informed participants about international and national legislation regarding the right to health, the work carried out in the country in this regard. He focused on the Commissioner’s proposals on protection of the right to health, as well as combating drug abuse. He added that the Commissioner carries out work for protection of the right to health, including protection of the rights of persons infected with HIV and suffering from AIDS and awareness raising events are being organized in this regard.

Guba Regional Center held a conference in Khinalig village. The representatives of local executive power, chairman of local municipality and village inhabitants attended the event. Head of Guba Regional Center Bahruz Afandiyev informed the participants about the month-long campaign, events organized within the campaign, also the multi-dimensional activity of the Commissioner for protection of human rights.
