A representative of the Ombudsman Office participated in an international conference on “Cooperation for Equality and Inclusiveness”

The International Trade Union Confederation and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confedration jointly organized an international conference on the “Cooperation for Equality and Inclusiveness”. 

Speaking at the event, L. Zeynalova, Head of the Department for Protection of the Right to Information of the Ombudsman Office, said that ensuring the protection of women’s rights and gender equality is one of the priority issues in the activities of the Ombudsman. It was noted that the Ombudsman Institution continues its cooperation with the UN and other international organizations in the respective field. 

L.Zeynalova also added that the Ombudsman Office made comprehensive efforts to ensure human rights, prevent discrimination, and support the stability and comprehensive sustainable development in the state. 

In addition, creating a more favorable environment for the development of women's entrepreneurship, enhancing the role of women in the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector, improving the legislative framework in this field, and the necessity of extensive awareness-raising efforts have been highlighted.

At the event, opinions and suggestions were put forward, and there was a broad exchange of ideas on the subject.
