Representative of the Ombudsman attended an event on National Identity and Family

Representative of the Ombudsman Office Lamiya Zeynalova attended an event on National Identity and Family organized by “Milli Kimlik” Public Union.

In her speech she mentioned that numerous events dedicated to family issues were held by the Commissioner, proposals and recommendations were sent to respective state bodies on the rights of women, children, the elderly and persons with disabilities. She added that events at the initiative of the Commissioner on family and health, “Health mother-healthy child”, reproductive health and family planning, elimination of domestic violence, gender equality, women rights etc. contributed to increase of attention to the mentioned field.

It was noted that upon the recommendations of Elmira Suleymanova, important measures were taken; additions and amendments were made to Family Code.
