Monitoring was held in TDP of Khazar District Police Department

Upon the instruction of the Commissioner, National preventive Group (NPG) members conducted a visit to Temporary Detention Place (TDP) of Khazar District Police Department without prior notice.

The aim of this visit was to investigate detention condition, treatment, protection of detainees right also to examine documentation.

 During the visit, all corpses of the facility the quality of food, nutrition, healthcare service, walking and state of ensuring other rights of the detained persons were monitored. In order to assess the treatment in the facility, the detainees were privately interviewed.

The interviewed detainees did not complain about detention conditions and treatment. Moreover, the issues raised by detainees regarding investigation of their cases were investigated on spot, each of them were given legal consultations, were explained their rights, the requirements of the legislation and the competences of the Ombudsman.

At the end of the visit, the administration was given recommendations in compliance with national and international laws.
