Rashid Rumzada, Head of the department at the Ombudsman Office and head of the National Preventive Group delivered lecture on The Roles of non-judicial bodies in Juvenile Justice System for new executive officers at Academy of Justice.
He shared his views on national and international practice, normative-legal acts, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Beijing Rules and Ar-Riyad Guidelines, gave information about the Ombudsman’s activity as a National Preventive Mechanism (NPM), her initiatives, as well as approaches to juvenile justice from the perspective of legal reforms in the country and the work to be done.
It should be noted in the current year series of lectures are being held on the Role of Ombudsman in Protection of Human rights and her activity as an NPM at this Academy.
