Ombudsman Office conducted monitoring in military unit of Civil Defense Troops

According to the agreed plan-schedules of the Ombudsman Office with the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Civil Defence Forces, and Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ombudsman Office staff continues its monitoring in the military units together with responsible officials of those bodies.

Ombudsman’s staff members, F. Hasanov and V. Haydarov made a visit to the military unit No. N of Civil Defense Troops in Guba, got familiar with living conditions of the personnel and conducted awareness raising work.

All corpses of those military facilities were monitored, including bedrooms of soldiers, canteen, meeting area, living rooms, as well as common area.

Protection of the rights of military servants, treatment, also quality of nutrition and of medical treatment was found satisfactory.

During the meeting Staff members gave broad information about human rights, the Commissioner’s activities in this field, current national military legislation and military regulations and answered to multiply questions.
