The Ombudsman met with Armenian-origin residents in Khankendi and visited a shelter created for vulnerable population groups

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, within the framework of her mandate, pays attention to ensuring the rights and freedoms of every citizen in our country, regardless of nationality, religion, language, ethnicity, or other affiliation.

The Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva met with Armenian-origin residents in Khankendi and visited a shelter for vulnerable population groups created by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population as well.

S.Aliyeva showed interest in the situation regarding the rights and freedoms of Armenian-origin residents who live both within and outside institutions and benefit from services and provided detailed information about the Ombudsman's competences. Furthermore, social services provided to residents by psychologists and social workers, as well as food provision, were monitored.

The appeals of the individuals received were listened to. They expressed satisfaction with the treatment and the conditions created.

During the visit, posters displaying information about the Ombudsman's 24/7 operating 916 Call Center were presented to the institution.
