According to the working plan agreed upon between the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan and the Command of Interior Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva and members of the Ombudsman Office conducted a monitoring visit to the military unit of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Ombudsman and members of the Office monitored military headquarters, soldiers’ dormitory, medical unit, canteen, and food and commodity warehouses.

The Ombudsman wrote heartfelt words in the Honor Book of the military headquarters, got acquainted with the corners dedicated to the memory of the military servicemen who died during the First and Second Karabakh Wars, and anti-terror operations.

The living conditions created for the personal staff, the provision of goods and supplies for military personnel, and the installation of telephone booths for maintaining contact with their families are positively evaluated.

The Ombudsman held a meeting with active-duty military personnel at the headquarters. The importance of legal education, ideological training activities, as well as strengthening loyalty and patriotism to the homeland was emphasized. Furthermore, the military personnel were also given information about how to apply to the Ombudsman and on the “916 Call Center,” as well as placing relevant information boards in appropriate locations for the personal staff.

During the meeting, the Ombudsman presented a commemorative gift to the military unit commander and also provided relevant books for the library in the military unit.
