Chairperson of HREIT met with the Prosecutor-General and Chairman of the Constitutional Court

The visit of HREIT delegation led by the Chairperson, Muharrem Kılıç, to Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva, continues. 

Within the visit, the Chairperson of HREIT, M. Kiliç, had separate meetings with Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor-General, and Farhad Abdullayev, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court. 

During both meetings, the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas, including law-enforcement and protecting human rights, was discussed. 

In addition, discussions have taken place regarding steps taken to modernize the activities of prosecutorial authorities in our country, positive cooperation relations between the Ombudsman and the Constitutional Court, legal reforms implemented at the national level, and cooperation directions in the field of human rights.

It has also been pointed out that there is close cooperation between Azerbaijan's Ombudsman Institution and HREIT, adding the visits of the delegation members to the institutions, which individuals cannot leave at their own will.
