Meetings of the delegation from HREIT, who are currently visiting our country upon the invitation of the Ombudsman, are ongoing

Delegation from the HREIT, led by Muharrem Kiliç, the Chairperson of the institution, who is currently visiting our country upon the invitation of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, had a meeting with Mirsaleh Seyidov, the Deputy-Minister of Justice, head of the Penitentiary Service.

At the meeting, information was provided on reforms carried out in the penitentiary system in Azerbaijan and steps taken to ensure that detained persons can enjoy their rights.  

Later, Mr. Kiliç, the Chairperson of the HREIT, met with Vusal Huseynov, Chief of the State Migration Service. 

Expressing satisfaction with the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas, during the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of the protection of migrants’ rights. It has been said that there are productive relations between the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the HREIT, and reciprocal visits have yielded positive results for the development of these relations.
