Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan had a meeting with the Chairperson of HREIT

Ali Asadov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Muharrem Kiliç, the Chairperson of HREIT. The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, was also present in the meeting.  

Throughout the meeting, information was given about ongoing measures taken to effectively upholding human rights and freedoms at the national level.

The ongoing development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in various areas, including the protection of human rights and freedoms, was highly appreciated. The significance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ombuds institutions of the two countries was  underlined, and it was said that the work conducted within this framework contributes to the advancement of cooperation in the respective field.

The prospects for the development of mutually fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in various areas, including the protection of human rights and freedoms, were discussed at the meeting.
