A holiday event was held at the Gobustan National Historical and Cultural Reserve in joint cooperation of the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan, the State Migration Service, and the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of 1 June – International Children's Day, which is marked to facilitate the cultural integration into society and education of children from refugee families.
Turan Jahangirova and Ilaha Afganli, employees of the Human Rights Protection Department at the Ombudsman Office, participated in the event.
Speaking at the event, T. Jahangirova conveyed the congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman to the children on this holiday. Furthermore, the children were informed about a series of awareness-raising events organized with the participation of children and youth in all regions of our country during the Ombudsman-initiated "Human Rights” and "Child Rights” month-long campaigns traditionally announced by the.
It was noted that in our country, for the purpose of equal protection of the rights and best interests of children, including those from socially vulnerable families, broad opportunities, such as national, moral, and universal upbringing of children, comprehensive development for them in a tolerant environment, and for their healthy growth, have been created. In addition, it was also pointed out that the Ombudsman Institution continues its active participation in these processes.
Later, a special cultural-entertaining program was organized for the children, and gifts were presented to them.
