During “Human Rights Month-Long Campaign,” an awareness-raising event on the right to information was organized in Astara

The Ombudsman Office organized a legal awareness event in Astara “Human Rights Month-Long Campaign”.

The representatives from district executive authority, law-enforcement authorities, health and education institutions, and information-holding state bodies attended the gathering. Lamiya Zeynalova, Head of the Department on the protection of the right to information of the Ombudsman Office provided information to the participants about the actions taken during the month-long campaign declared by the Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva.  

As well, the Ombudsman’s activities in the field of protecting the right to information, highlighting the importance of effectively implementing obligations driven from the Law on Access to Information.

During the event, a presentation and a videoclip were shown on the protection of the right to access information.

At the end of the event, educational booklets of the Ombudsman Office were presented to the participants and opinions were exchanged.
