A Coastal Cleanup Campaign was organized in collaboration with the Ombudsman Office and Baku City Executive Authority

During the "Human Rights Month-Long Campaign," a coastal cleanup campaign was organized under the theme "Environmental Protection and Human Rights" and within the frame of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in collaboration with the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan and the Baku City Executive Authority. 

The purpose of the campaign was to prevent the pollution of coastal areas with household garbage and to promote the public's role in improving the ecological condition of the Caspian Sea and its coastal environment.

In the campaign held with the participation of the Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, the staff of the Office, and representatives of civil society organizations, waste was collected from the coastal area and transported to the Balakhani Solid Household Waste Sorting Plant using special equipment brought to the area.
