The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) held an international conference on “International Humanitarian Law and Armed Conflicts” in Gdynia, Poland.
Raida Amirbeyova, Head of the Monitoring Unit at the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan, participated in this event. While delivering a speech, she spoke about Armenia’s violations of IHL norms during the First and Second Karabakh Wars, as well as the massive contamination of the territories of Azerbaijan by the Armenian armed forces and illegal armed groups during the occupation period. It was also added that accurate maps of minefields have not yet been handed over to our country.
During discussions held within the framework of the conference, the questions on the topic were answered in detail, and extensive information was given about the activities of the Ombudsman in this direction.
