Ombudsman’s South Regional Office organized an awareness-raising event

The Ombudsman’s South Regional Office held a public awareness event titled “Role of Tolerance and Multiculturalism policy in the strengthening of our national solidarity” jointly with the Lankaran City Regional Department of the State Committee on Work with Religious Institutions, Lankaran-Astara Regional Culture Office, and the Lankaran City Central Library. 

The head of the regional office, Z. Ismayilov made a speech on multiculturalism and human rights, giving information about the activities of the Ombudsman in the field of legal equality and non-discrimination. It was said that people from different backgrounds, such as religion and ethnicity, peacefully coexist in Azerbaijan, with mutual respect and tolerance, also emphasizing the important role of spiritual, tolerated and multicultural values of our people in strengthening our national solidarity. 

Overall, discussions were held on the subject, and the questions of the attendants were answered.
