The participants of the International Baku Forum of Ombudsmen visited the Alley of Honor and the Alley of Martyr

The participants first visited the Alley of Honor to honour the memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan. They placed a wreath and fresh flowers at his grave.

The memory of the prominent ophthalmologist and academic, Zarifa Aliyeva, was also honored with respect, and fresh flowers were placed on her grave.

The participants also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate the memory of our heroic sons who died fighting for our freedom and sovereignty, placing flowers on their graves. The event participants were provided with information about the history of the Alley of Martyrs.

It should be noted that the Forum, organized to discuss the problems caused by global climate change and their solutions from a human rights perspective and to share positive experiences in this field, will be attended by ombudsmen and representatives of national human rights institutions from over 30 countries, high-ranking officials of state bodies, civil society institutions, heads and representatives of several international organizations, as well as climate change and human rights experts.
