The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, who is on a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, convened a meeting with the academic staff and students of Tashkent State University of Law on 28th October. The Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Feruza Eshmatova, also participated in the meeting.
In her speech, Sabina Aliyeva noted that a large number of voter engagements were evident during the observation of the elections held in Uzbekistan.
The Ombudsman also provided information to the participants about her activities in the field of protecting human rights and freedoms.
Additionally, it was highlighted by the Ombudsman that fact-finding missions’ (FFM) reports, based on the evidence found during the Second Karabakh War and the post-war period, as well as reports on Armenia’s human rights violations and hate crimes committed during the thirty-year occupation of territories of Azerbaijan have been prepared and distributed among international organizations, ombudspersons, and NHRIs of other countries. The questions raised by the students were answered in detail.
