A joint educational event on "Early Marriage and Its Consequences" was held in Masalli

An educational event on "Early marriage and its consequences" was held at the Khil village secondary school named after R. Taghiyev in the Masalli district, jointly organized by the Ombudsman’s South Regional Center of Azerbaijan, the Masalli Regional Department of the State Committee on Work with Religious Institutions, the Masalli district education sector of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Education Department, and the Masalli Museum of History and Local Lore.

At the event, Z. Ismayilov, the Head of the Regional Center, spoke on the importance of family and marriage, the protection and strengthening of the family, the problem of early marriage, the consequences of early marriages and the implementation of effective measures to eliminate them, and the Ombudsman’s activities in this field. 

The heads of the Masalli regional branch of the State Committee, the Masalli district education sector of the Lankaran-Astara Regional Education Department, and the Masalli Museum of History and Local Lore spoke about the work carried out to prevent early marriages in the district and various measures taken and emphasized the importance of joint activities of relevant government agencies and society against early marriages.

The event continued with discussions and questions of participants that were answered.
