The Ombudsman participated in the Second International Conference on "The Right to Return – Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled from Armenia"

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, participated in the Second International Conference on "The Right to Return – Advancing Justice for Azerbaijanis Expelled from Armenia" organized by the Western Azerbaijan Community.

It should be noted that in the past century, hundreds of thousands of our compatriots were expelled from the territory of present-day Armenia due to their ethnicity, became victims of crimes against humanity and war crimes, and were mercilessly murdered.

Over the past period, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan has prepared special reports on ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity committed by Armenia against Azerbaijanis based on a centuries-old hatred policy and submitted them to relevant international organizations. The Ombudsman has also made regular calls on all international platforms to ensure the right to an unhindered and dignified return of Azerbaijanis deported from the territory of Armenia.
