During the demining actions in the de-occupied territories, the repeated discovery of mine-traps and improvised explosive devices once again proves Armenia’s terror policy against Azerbaijanis.
In the course of the operations conducted by the personnel of Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) in a secondary school located in Yemishjan village of Khojavend district, an F-1 grenade was found in one of the classrooms, which was installed on the desk with adhesive tape. Besides, in order to cause a larger explosion, another F-1 grenade has been placed under the desk.
The fact of bringing that mine-trap into a fighting position in an educational institution by attaching it to a chair and door handle shows that terrorism is specifically directed against a peaceful civilian population.
As the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I strongly condemn the crimes committed by Armenia, accompanied by severe violations of the fundamental human rights and freedoms of the civilian population, and call on international organizations to respond strongly to such actions.
