During the holidays, the Ombudsman’s "916" Call Center provided uninterrupted service.
The Call center received calls from 29th December 2024 to 5th January 2025. The incoming calls were mainly about issues falling within the Ombudsman's NPM mandate, including arbitrary detention, organization of medical examination and treatment in a custodial setting in which a person is not permitted to leave at will, organization of visitations, and failure to notify the relatives about the person’s detention. These issues were immediately raised before the relevant institutions and investigated, and the citizens' appeals were satisfied.
