A roundtable on “Essence and hazards of religious radicalism and extremism- legal aspects” was held by the Ombudsman’s North Regional Center in partnership with the Guba-Khachmaz regional branch of the State Committee for Work with Religious Institutions and the District Executive Authority Office in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Shabran.
During the speeches, it was emphasized that interfaith relations are based on a solid basis and that the state gives religion special attention. Furthermore, detailed information was provided on the concept of religious radicalism, along with the causes of its emergence, the violations of human rights and freedoms in this context, and strategies for preventing it. Participants’ questions were answered, and discussions on the topic were held.
