A Working Group has been established at the initiative of the Ombudsman to ensure the prompt exchange of information during municipal elections

At the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, a Working Group has been established within the Ombudsman Office to ensure prompt information exchange during municipal elections.

It should be noted that, considering the good experience of previous years, the Commissioner, as well as staff of the Ombudsman Office, Regional Centers, and the Office of the Ombudsman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, will independently observe municipal elections at polling stations on their own initiative as observers. Each observer will report the results of their observations on-site to the Ombudsman every hour. If necessary, appropriate measures will be taken jointly with the Central Election Commission (CEC) to ensure the protection of rights.
