
The Ombudsman’s North, North-West, West, and South Regional Centers organized a series of awareness-raising events in Khizi, Sheki, Mingachevir, Oghuz, Samukh, Dashkesan, and Yardimli in connection with the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty" in Azerbaijan by the Presidential Decree.
Events were held on the topics of "Constitutional guarantees of human rights", "Supremacy of the Constitution and its legal force", "Mechanisms for the protection of constitutional rights", "The role of religious and spiritual solidarity in the protection of sovereignty," etc. During speeches, it was highlighted that the adoption of the first Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 12, 1995 laid the foundation for large-scale legislative and institutional reforms in the country.
It was also noted that as a result of the Victory achieved in the Patriotic War and the local anti-terrorist operations carried out on September 19-20, 2023, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country have been fully restored, and the legal force of the Constitution of Azerbaijan has been established in all territories.
