The representative of the Ombudsman spoke at the legal awareness event held at the Rehabilitation Center

The legal awareness event was held on the topic "State Guarantee for Human Rights and Freedoms" at the Center for Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities under the Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

During that event, held in the framework of the "Human Rights Month" announced by the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, the representative of the Department of State Service and Personnel Affairs of the Ministry, the employees of the center, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) involved in vocational rehabilitation.

Muqabil Mahmudov, the head of the Unit in the Department for Cooperation with International and Civil Society Organizations of the Ombudsman Office, delivered a speech at the event and provided detailed information about the human rights and freedoms enshrined in our Constitution and international treaties to which Azerbaijan is a party, their  national and international protection mechanisms, comprehensive reforms in this field, as well as the work carried out by the Ombudsman.

At the same time, an exchange of ideas was held on the activities regarding the social and legal protection of vulnerable population groups and PWDs, proposals, achievements, and forthcoming tasks, and the questions raised by participants were answered.
