The employees of the Ombudsman Office visited the Detention Center for Irregular Migrants in Nakhchivan

The employees of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and the representatives of the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in our country visited the Detention Center for Irregular Migrants located in Nakhchivan city.

The conditions and issues related to the investigation of the rights of foreign nationals and stateless persons, who are held mandatory and voluntarily, as well as the processing of documentation, were studied.

Subsequently, an awareness talk was held with the management and staff of the facility, and recommendations were given for further improvement of the detention conditions.
