A staff member of the Ombudsman Office participated in the training on 'Asylum referral mechanisms'

A training on the topic "Asylum referral mechanisms" was held for the employees of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the frame of the joint cooperation of the State Migration Service, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Ombudsman Office.

Comprehensive information on the main principles related to determining refugee status and procedures related to asylum has been provided at the event.

During the training, a staff member of the Ombudsman Office gave information on the measures taken by the Ombudsman to ensure and promote the rights of refugees and asylum seekers at the national and international level, and effectively integrate them into society.

Opinions were also exchanged on the development of the asylum system in our country.
