The Ombudsman attended the event held at Penitentiary Service Institution No. 4

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva attended the event held in Penitentiary Service Institution No. 4 on the occasion of June 1 – World Children's Day.

In her speech at the event, where representatives from the Ministries of Justice, Economy, the Bar, and non-governmental organizations took part, the Ombudsman congratulated the kids on their holiday and emphasized that one of her main activities is the protection of children's rights. 

The Ombudsman later visited the correctional facility of the Penitentiary Service and was interested about the situation regarding the ensuring the rights of juvenile inmates held in the facility.
