The Western, North-Western, Northern and Southern Regional Centers of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan held educational events on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.
During speeches at events attended by state institutions, law enforcement, local executive and local self-government bodies, public representatives and active young people, it was told about the historical background of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first parliamentary republic of the East, the first example of a democratic, legal and secular state in the Turkic-Islamic world, and its role in history. It was reported that Azerbaijan, which regained its independence at the end of the 20th century, managed to maintain its sovereignty. National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who returned to power, took decisive measures to protect Azerbaijan's statehood and establish social and political stability.
Additionally, they discussed the establishment of a democratic, secular and legal state building in our republic under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy follower of the Great Leader.
The participants of the event were informed about the activities of the Ombuds institution, which was founded in our country with the support of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and their questions were answered.
At the end of the events, videos related to Independence Day were shown, and patriotic songs were performed by young singers.
