A Regional Training on Refugee Status Determination was held in Guba

A training was held on "Mechanisms for Directing Asylum Applications" in Guba, Khachmaz, and Gusar districts for law enforcement officers and judges working in the field of asylum and migration.

In the training held in the framework of the joint cooperation of the State Migration Service, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the Ombudsman Office, information was provided on the legislation on the status of refugees, international refugee protection, and the activities of the Ombudsman in this field.

In the training, Ms. Turan Jahangirova, Head of the Unit of Work with Martyrs' Families and Veterans of the Ombudsman Office, informed the participants on measures implemented by the Ombudsman to ensure and promote the rights of refugees and asylum seekers at the national and international level, their effective integration into society, as well as to improve the procedural rules applied in this field. 

During the training, an exchange of ideas on the development of the asylum system in our country was held .
