The Trainings have been held in General Schools

The next series of educational trainings organized within the frame of cooperation between the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Education were held in general schools of Baku city, including secondary school No. 162 in the Sabail district, secondary school No. 87 in the Surakhani district, and secondary school No. 168 in the Pirallahi district. 

The trainings are launched as part of the implementation of the relevant sub-paragraph on "Expanding the scope of educational activities about the negative consequences of all forms of violence against children by involving mass media" of the "Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for Children for 2020-2025" approved by Presidential Decree No. 2306 dated November 27, 2020.

In the trainings on the "Protection of Children from Violence,", the staff of the Child Rights Protection Unit of the Office made a presentation; the participants were informed about violence against children and its forms, forms of discrimination, defense mechanisms from violence, existing relevant legal and normative frameworks, and the work of the 916 Ombudsman’s Call Center.

During the group work, children exchanged their views on the protection of child rights.

The school psychologist and teaching staff, along with the children, also participated in the events.

Trainings will be continued in other districts of the capital and regions.
