The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to organize a range of events in connection with the 100th birth anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
In the framework of the continuous events, the next city tour historical-cultural landmarks, recreational places, and social catering facilities in the capital city was organized for two juveniles undergoing rehabilitation in the Correctional Facility of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice on the eve of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
Together with the juveniles, the Ombudsman visited the grave of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, laid fresh flowers in front of the monument, and paid respectful tribute to his memory.
Afterwards, the graves of our martyrs were also visited, and their dearest memories were honored.
As part of the city tour, visits by juveniles to the Heydar Aliyev Center and Baku Book House were organized. The juveniles were given broad information about the invaluable services of the Great Leader for the purpose of studying of the Heydar Aliyev legacy. Furthermore, books of various genres were presented as gifts.
The Ombudsman had lunch with juveniles. She informed them about the honorable life path of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, and his role in the history of the development of our country. The Ombudsman made her recommendations to them for their personal development, protection of their rights, education, career pursuits, and rehabilitation. At the end of the cultural program organized for the juveniles, gifts were presented to them.
Within the framework of collaboration between the Ombudsman and the Penitentiary Service, such initiatives that positively impact the spiritual development and rehabilitation of children will continue.
