An educational event on 'Public Awareness in Promoting Gender Equality' was held in the Masalli district

The Ombudsman’s Southern Regional Center held an educational event on “Public Awareness in Promoting Gender Equality” jointly with the Masalli District Executive Authority. The employees of numerous public and private entities, doctors, religious figures, and young people took part in this event.

During the event, while delivering speeches on “Main Directions of the Public Policy on Ensuring Gender Equality, Eliminating All Forms of Discrimination, and Ensuring Gender Equality” and “Gender Violence”, the head of the Southern Regional Center, Ziya Ismayilov, informed the participants about the activity of the Ombudsman in the field of human rights and preventing gender-based violence, as well as on the relevant legal framework and institutional reforms carried out at the national level.     

The educational event was continued with discussions, and the questions addressed by the participants were answered.
