According to the cooperation between the Office of the Commissioner Human Rights (Ombudsperson) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and higher education institutions, the internship for students and graduates of 5 universities has started in the institution. In accordance with the letters received for the 2022/2023 academic year, students and graduates of Baku State University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan University of Languages, Western Caspian University and Baku Eurasian University participate in internship.
On the first day of internship, Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva met with students and graduates and brought to their attention the general rules about internship at the institution. Later, she gave information about the work done in the field of protection and promotion of human rights, especially the structural reforms implemented during the last year.
During the meeting, S. Aliyeva shared her advice on education and career with students and graduates. It was noted that in order to strengthen the theoretical knowledge acquired in higher education institutions and use in further work activities, teaching will be conducted in an interactive form, and at the next stage, students and graduates will be involved in the work process in various departments and units.
The Ombudsperson said that necessary conditions will be created for internees to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of human rights, and at the same time, she recommended that they take advantage of the Human Rights Library, which is the first specialized library on human rights, for writing their graduation and master's theses.
In the end, there was a mutual exchange of ideas with students and graduate students, as well as with internship managers from higher education institutions.
