Ombudsman met with the delegation of US International Development Agency (USAID) in Azerbaijan

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) of the Republic of Azerbaijan received the Mission Director of the US International Development Agency (USAID) in Azerbaijan Michael Nehrbass and the delegation led by him.

The Commissioner gave the guests information about the mandate of the Ombudsperson the directions of her activity in the field of human rights protection, the awareness raising events carried out for developing legal culture, and published materials.

At the meeting, the perspectives of joint cooperation in increasing women's economic opportunities, combating human trafficking and gender-based violence and others were discussed and mutual opinions were exchanged.
