Ombudsman's North Regional Center held an event on the fight against early marriage and domestic violence

Within the framework of the joint organization of the North Regional Center of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Department of Youth and Sports of Gusar district, an event was held on the topic "Problem of early marriages, domestic violence and ways of struggle". Representatives of local government agencies and youth took part in the event held at Gusar Vocational High School.

The head of the North Regional Center of the Ombudsman, Bahruz Efendiyev during his speech stated that early marriages are part of domestic violence and informed about the legal, psychological and medical complications caused by such marriages. He noted that there is a legislative framework for preventing early marriages in our country and spoke about the work done in this regard.
