Ombudsman's South Regional Center held an awareness-raising event

The South Regional Center of the Ombudsman organized an awareness-raising event in collaboration with Masalli District Youth and Sports Department and Masalli Youth House Social Service Facility on “The role of relevant bodies in preventing and effectively combating domestic violence”. The event was attended by active young residents of the district.

Speaking at the event, the Head of the Ombudsman’s South Regional Center Mr. Ziya Ismayilov briefed the participants about the basic principles and types of measures in the prevention of domestic violence (DV), preventive registration of those who committed DV, and the rules on educational-prophylactic work with them. He informed the participants about “The National Action Plan for 2020-2023 on combating domestic violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan” and the Ombudsman’s activities aimed at combating DV.

In conclusion, the participants’ questions related to the subject were answered.
