Ombudsman's representative participated in a public discussion devoted to Great Return

At the initiative of the Support Fund for Entrepreneurship and Market Economy Development, a public discussion entitled "Great Return and Back to Homes" was co-organized by Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, International Eurasia Press Fund, Public Council at the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and Public Supervision Center.

The Head of the Legal Education Unit at the Ombudsman Office Mr. Mugalib Mahmudov took part in that event which brought together the representatives of state bodies and civil society organizations.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Mahmudov provided information about the activities carried out by the Ombudsman to awaken the world community to the facts of human rights violations against a multitude of peaceful Azerbaijani population, who had been forced to displacement because of Armenia's long-lasting military aggression and terror policy against Azerbaijan implemented on the basis of ethnic hatred and baseless territorial claims.

The speech also shed a light on the fact-finding missions carried out in our liberated lands by the Ombudsman Ms. Sabina Aliyeva and the foreign delegations visiting Azerbaijan upon her invitation. At the same time, it was stressed that the relevant fact-finding mission reports and statements were submitted to international organizations as well.
