By pursuing hatred and ethnic cleansing policies, and disregarding the norms and principles of international law by keeping Azerbaijani territories under three decade occupation (which has now been liberated), displacing over a million of our compatriots into displacement from their homes, causing disseappearance of about 4000 Azerbaijanis and committing mine terrorism in our territories, Armenia’s leadership has not yet refrain from its cunning policies.
Thus, on February 12, once again, the ceasefire was violated by the armed forces of Armenia. Our army's positions in the Kokhanabi residential area of the Tovuz district and in the direction of the Border Guard Forces of the State Border Service (SBS) in the Kolluqıshlag village of the Zangilan district were on fire. As a result, a serviceman of the SBS was injured.
Armenia’s leadership should refrain from such provocative actions that escalate tensions during a period when new opportunities for the peacebuilding process are emerging in the region, and instead, they should take concrete steps towards achieving peace and stability.
I believe that international organizations should not remain indifferent to the military crimes committed by Armenia in the region, and should make serious calls to this country to cease armed provocations that threaten the peace talks, lives, and health of military servicemen.
