Ombudsman met with the allegedly abused schoolchild and her mother from Lankaran

The information about the physical abuse of a schoolgirl in Lankaran was posted on media and social networks. The Ombudsman Office expediently conducted a preliminary investigation into the matter.

The Ombudsperson Ms. Sabina Aliyeva met with the child and her mother to learn about their situation and explained their rights.

During the conversation, the views of the mother were heard and relevant recommendations on control over the psychological situation of the child were given. Also, it was said that all necessary measures will be taken within the competencies of the Ombudsman. Furthermore, the psychologist evaluated the individual psychological characteristics of the child and provided her with psychological help.

It should be noted that the Lankaran District Prosecutor's Office has started an investigation into the fact.
